In a case whose details have startled the country, Stephen Griffiths is accused of killing the three women who disappeared in Bradford, about 200 miles (320 kilometers) north of London. The 40-year-old Griffiths was studying homicide in the 19th century at the local university at the time he was arrested on the edge of the city's red-light district.
The victims are believed to be local women from the Bradford area. Many websites are referring to these women soley as prostitutes, however, that was only their occupations. These women were mothers, daughters, friends and loved ones. As we learn more about this case we ought to remember that and not merely refer to them for what they did!
The Alleged victims are Suzanne Blamires whose body was found Tuesday dumped in a nearby river. Blamires was last seen last Friday.
Shelley Armitage, 31, disappeared since in April 2010
Susan Rushworth, 43, who has not been seen since June 2009.
